Cure External Hemorrhoids

More often than not people with hemorrhoids buy tons of supposed “cures” that don’t work or work very slightly if at all.  The majority of these people are searching for relief or to cure external hemorrhoids and, sadly, many of them get sucked into buying products which they use for a number of months that do almost nothing. What is the solution? Simple, the solution is to, rather than buy every product on the sales rack, try out the cheaper more natural remedies first. These home made cures, as they are often referred to, can often work just as good, if not better than their counterparts. Also, there are a few remedies that do not consist of messy creams to reduce the pain and swelling of external hemorrhoids.

In terms of reducing the pain by changing things around you physically, there are a few steps you can take so that you stop irritating the hemorrhoids and the region around the anus. First and foremost, using soft cotton toilet paper is a must. The soft cotton of the toilet paper reduces the irritation and thus the inflammation of the veins externally and this will, in turn, make the condition more manageable. Next, and most people neglect this one, is wearing loose fitting underwear. Preferably the material that the underwear is made of will be made of breathable breathe-able material such as cotton. This will, just like the cotton toilet paper, reduce friction between the affected area and the fabric, thus reducing inflammation.

Other simple, often overlooked methods to cure external hemorrhoids that are often overlooked are reported by many people to reduce pain and irritation as well. Taking aspirin can sometimes help, panadol as well. This is only a temporary fix, however but it does lower blood flow to the affected area, thus reducing swelling. Both Vaseline and any petroleum jelly have been reported to work wonders as well, especially when mixed with a bitch of witch hazel extract and applied gently to the outer swollen area of the anus. The lubrication this provides also helps reduce friction to the hemorrhoids (however, when using this method one must be careful as petroleum jelly is not meant to be used internally inside the rectum).

So, as we can see, there are many things that work to reduce hemorrhoid pain and external swelling just laying around ones house in most cases, and others which require small lifestyle changes.
